I will never understand why BMW decided to sell those ugly chrome/brushed/black alloy wheels within M sport. Those weels look horrible! Just take a look at the S-Class in AMG trim, that thing looks lovely and refined. Wheels are really classy and not some kind of cheap aftermarket wheels that BMW is offering on its latest models.

Very disappointed in this car. This was supposed to be the car that BMW finally matched the S Class. After countless private reveals, all for this?? Step it up BMW!

This isn't a car you'd usually buy from photos, it must be experienced, viewed, touched.

Photos don't make justice.

I'm a huge fan boy but this is too much even for me. BMW, is that really your best? I don't believe that all the designers in the company like this car. It just doesn't look good.

I was hoping to be wowed by this iteration of the 7 and gave the awkward fish eye pictures leak a few months ago a benefit of the doubt, but so far in the latest set of images it looks very bland and dare I say ugly? I was seriously contemplating trading up from my X5 to this (740Li Xdrive); but I will stick to my truck TYVM. Scott26 , what in the world is this piece of turd?? How does this expect to compete with the S-class, which itself is average looking?? I really thought the G11/12 would be easily able to pass the W222 in the looks department but BMW wont be doing us any favors....

I AGREE with yo on the bmw msport rims and even the M rims. They all look cheap and ugly.

All these negative opinions on a computer generated photo. Look at all the computer generated photos on all the cars. They don't look even close to ass good as a real one of the same car. Relax guys the actual photos will look much better. Plus we all know this will drive 5 times better than the S class. I doubt it will look better though.

Anyway I'm excited to test drive one to see what all that CF did to the feel of a heavy saloon.

I think the next-generation Audi A8 (2017?) is going to dictate how well the G11 7er is going to fair. If Audi decides not to produce something on the level of the S-Class and looks more like an update of the current A8, I'm thinking BMW and Audi have no plans on producing anything that might creep up on Rolls Royce and Bentley. Clearly the G11 7er doesn't look like a car that would move 15k a year (S-Class yearly average), but it looks like it can move 10-11k off the badge alone.

Opinions are just opinions. It will all come down to sales figures. Let's see if the no1 luxury car maker will continue to increase its sales numbers for the 7 series. Last year the 7 series did terrible against the S

I had high hopes for this new design. Why not just make the concept car a reality.

Poor BMW. This launch is a nightmare. How many leaks revealing the whole car did we have by now?

And always in the worst conditions - poor resolution, bad light, with transport spacers in the suspension, blurry PC images..

This must be a PR nightmare..

I have not been a fan of BMW's single unit front fascia design as a whole but I will reserve by judgement until I see the car in person.

I do not think that 1 and 3-Series owners should be the ones commenting on the car's design as the 7-Series was not built with you in mind. BMW has sent out numerous surveys to "actual" buyers and owners of these cars over the years. From the several people that I know personally, and who have been to the private reveals, I have heard mostly positive comments.

As for the new S-Class, I feel that it looks much better in photos then it does in person. I have been driven in the "average" spec'd car on several occasions and each time the interior felt nice but not tailor made, if that makes any sense.

That is my opinion.
