Pics of 21" Style 312 wheels

A few weeks ago i placed an order for a 740d in black sapphire with high gloss shadow line and 18" rims styling 234. On those rims my dealer is going to put snow tires. For the summer i want some bigger wheels. It's about those wheels i'm hesitating. They are going to be or the 20" rims styling 253 or the 21" rims styling 312 in 'ferric grey'.

On the internet you can find lots of pictures of new 7-series with the 20" rims styling 253, but it's more difficult to find with 21" rims styling 312...

Does anyone have some pictures with those wheels?

Thanks allready...

Yes, those are the wheels i was talking about. Thank you very much...

This car even has the M-sportpackage...

Don't you think 21" is too big for the 7-series?

I took delivery of my 750 LIx with M Sport and 20s yesterday. The car is large and IMO 21s would not be too big, especially in Ferric Grey, which makes them look smaller. I personally love the look of the cross spoke 312s in FG and am considering getting a set for summer and putting snows on my 20s.

Not trying to "jack" anyone's thread, but don't want to be accused of "no pics, car doesn't exist!"

@ esk: Thanks for sharing these pics. Your car is beautifull. Don't you think this 7-series must be lowered, and especially with 21" rims?

The car could use a drop, but then I'd worry about hitting the front bumper on every incline and parking curb. I was in a space today and the front bumper barely cleared the curb.

So do my kids and I'm starting to agree! I found some more pics in another thread on this site. I'm thinking of putting snows on my 20s and buying a set of these for summer.

My only concern is that they look like kerb magnets. There's not a lot of protection from the tyre before you strike the rim.

My decision is made. 21" styling 312 in silver (not Ferric Grey).
I photoshopped the picture for high gloss shadowline and 25mm AC Schnitzer lowering...

Delivery of my car in 2 weeks...

What issues do you have with the 21" on your E65?

The wheels always felt bent, even after i had them checked for bends. The car had the sport pack and the 21s. The roads here aren't Southern Florida perfect but they aren't NYC bad either so I can't blame the roads. I don't mind a harsh ride [I mean come on I drive a 335 sport which is hard as a rock] but it wasn't so much harsh as it was almost shaky. We loved the way they looked so we kept them but i knew the car could ride better on equally good looking 07-08 sport package 20inchers than on the 21s. Not to mention we were replacing the rears every 10k for $1100 and it needed alignment about every 10k as well. The fronts usually lasted about 15k. In 28 months and 31000 miles we spent about $6000 in tires and alignment. That's a little under $3000 a year. I understand there is a compromise when you have bigger wheels but thats borderline ridiculous, and it's like I was spending the money, my parents were. My mom speeds and definitely doesn't drive like an old man but she doesn't tear it up like I do. The tires would have been done even sooner had it been driven like I drove it.

With the F01 on run-flats it would be at least $3000 a year in tires and alignment if we bought the 312s , on a car we're leasing and know will be getting rid of in [now] 32 months.

With the 19s I find the ride a bit floaty, even in sport, and in fact if I'm not the one driving it often makes me a little car sick. My mom doesn't mind but my dad and I both agreed that if it was either of our every day cars we would have to put the 21s on to try and counteract the floaty-ness despite the added cost.

But as the saying goes, "Happy wife, happy life" so my dad is just keeping it at that. It's a lot cheaper.

Thank you! My car is actually Dark Graphite Metallic with oyster/black interior. I absolutely LOVE the car and am THRILLED with my decision. The car does seem a bit high, but I've compared X Drive and non-X Drive 7s at my dealer and there does not seem to be a noticable difference in the gap between the tire and fender.
