Navigation Monitor Goes to Black on F01 750i
Has anyone else had their Navigation monitor go to black periodically? If so, do you know how to resolve the issue? I've seen that other model of BMWs have had the same issue but haven't seen anyone who had a solution to address it.

I haven't had that issue on the F01s however have LOTS of experience with that in both early 2000s Range Rovers and the current Range Rovers.
In this case, the car is smart enough that if you have a scan tool capable of seeing the CIC module, and there is a communication fault for "X", it's usually X. It's a MOST loop, if one of the modules is bad such as the CIC, AMP, or Combox, there will be no sound. Does sound continue when this happens? If so, it might just be a screen. |

I think I figured mine out. I installed a BimmerTech MMI Prime unit. I recently bypassed it and my screen no longer goes to black
