Check engine light - 2013 750li
Hi Everyone,
New here and to BMW in general. I recently purchased a 2013 750li and have some questions that I wasn't able to find the answers for while searching extensively online and would appreciate some help. I'm getting a check engine light that I can't seem to resolve. Using ISTA+ I'm able to pull codes: S 0751: Permanent SAE fault codes stored CD8E10: LIN bus : Communications fault 8020DB: Wake-up line to intelligent battery sensor IBS: short circuit to ground D02D3A: Camera-based driver support system (KAFAS) interface (camera, front) I trired disconnecting the LIN users (alternator,IBS, coolant pump) one at a time to no avail. Wiring diagram shows there may be an auxiliary battery controller but I couldn't find it in my car (right rear wheel well), and also a radiator shutter that I'm not sure my car has. Also, when I try to pull the Permanent SAE fault codes, I get "IFH-0041: ILLEGAL PARAMETERS" at step #2of12, then it completes and say's no permanent fault codes stored. I'm kind of at a loss at this point. I tried replacing the IBS with a known working unit but that didn't work either. However when all codes are cleared, the S 0751 & CD8E10 do not clear, or at least immediately trigger once the switchover occurs (ie. Ignition off, then on). I'm kind of at a loss at this point. Does anyone have any ideas? Last edited by 011coach; 04-15-2023 at 02:22 PM.. |
