BMW G12 Telematic system

I’m in need of a telematic unit replacement but I’m really confused on the programming issue.

Can a used telematic unit from eBay be programmed?
Or do I need to buy a new one?

Also is bmw dealership the only place that can program this?

No warranty ? Don;t think a used unit can be programmed as it must matches the VIN. I know it can be done on some BMs but not sure on G11. Ask Local dealer.
