With that said, I guess so much for hoping the next generation BMW M5 will be able to drop 400lbs! Lol!
Most important thing to note right here.

I thought this car was supposed to shed some pounds, not gain a bunch

Just found out through my sales advisor they are only making the long wheel base this year... But you can get the M-Sport in that version.... I have a 14 comp pack M5 with Dinan tune and might consider the new 7 M Sport when my lease is up... Not sure....

Big disappointment. I will be keeping my 14' 750i M sport SWB.

What's with the hockey stick on the side of the car? UGLY!

Why does the nav screen need to be tacked on like an ipad? Doesn't belong on a luxury car IMO. That's OK for a 3 or 4 series but not for the flagship.

Only all wheel drive for the 750? I would think that xdrive would use more fuel?

Mercedes has nothing to worry about here.

God damn it ! I expected so much better .S550 remains King and Bmw fans must wait another 6 years before this mediocre trash gets a full redesign . Very disappointed . Tech is good, performance numbers will be good .. Look are lacking .

Even though Im not in the market for this car, I'm liking it a lot.. except for the chrome on the side of the car and the HUGE grille. Other than that, M-Sport FTW!

Seems to me 75% of the comments are thumbs up, 25% down, which is very rare for a new BMW. Personally I give it a like, I think it looks great, in n out.

The only thing I'm worried about is reliability, if you keep the car over 4 yrs. I think the 7 is the least reliable car from the BMW stable, and something tells me this new one will take the crown once again. So many things that can (and will) go wrong.

BMW losing the design battle

Very disappointing ... profile looks like a Lexus LS 460. Very boring design recently from BMW. Actually missing some of the flair of Bangle. Tough too swallow at first, but kept up with the times better. Very distinctive as well.

A German engineered key fob...can't wait to see what that costs to repair in the shop.

That said, this car is an abomination from the outside. The interior at least looks like a good place to be driven around in though.

Those headlights are just gross..what a disappointment..look at the head-on pic..what an abomination, wont even get started on the chrome.

but then nothing that we didn't know already..interior might have good materials and tech, but personally i dont like the layout.

Merc its probably very happy with that. Heck, even Audi is looking good now.

It's really funny what BMW did here. They knew that exterior design was underwhelming, it was too late to change any of the design language. So they scramble to "LEAK" all these photos that were unappealing, whether on shipping blocks or shot really close with a fish eye lens, they leak these images that make the car look really bad. The public then has this preconceived image of an ugly car. Then they release better pics and it changes ppls outlook on the design bc they were expecting an ugly car, which it still is. Mind games ! ! !

Optional Bowers & Wilkins 1400-Watt Hi-Fi system with Diamond dome tweeter tech & specially tweaked to fit G11/G12 7er interior acoustics not enough for you?

Perfect listening pleasure: Bowers & Wilkins Diamond surround
sound system.

The Bowers & Wilkins Diamond surround sound system offered as an option
for the new BMW 7 Series makes it possible to experience a new dimension
in listening pleasure while enjoying the in-car entertainment programme. A
fully active 10-channel amplifier with an output of 1,400 watts and 16 partially
illuminated speakers together produce an exceptionally precise and
wonderfully rich sound in the cabin. In the process, dynamic sound equalizing
with three analogue crossovers ensures uniform acoustic performance
delivered to all seats.

The system also enables the sound setting to be matched to the selected
entertainment genre. The five acoustic scenarios on offer include, for
example, “Concert”, which reproduces the acoustics experienced in a concert
hall, and the “Cinema” setting, which provides cinema-like acoustics when
watching a movie on the Rear-seat entertainment system.

Bowers + Wilkins car audio is garbage, almost as bad as BOSE.

Overall a cool car, but not $100k cool or competitive with the comfort of the S Class. If you're buying a car this big, you basically want a luxury shuttle. That's also why id take an M5 for people moving.

Lol what are you smoking.

Bowers & Wilkins is better than the current Harman Kardon or Bang & Olufsen sound systems.

If you're not an audiophile, then maybe you shouldn't comment about this lol

bmw boys still need some more attention to details. check out the cheap plastic around the seat controls. Now look at the trim on current A8 seat controls. Can you imagine what new A8 int will look like if old has better trim the new G11?
