Missing trim piece?

I just bought this 2021 750 about a month ago. I noticed yesterday that a trim piece on the back fell off (ignore the dirty car, just went through a rainstorm). Has anyone else randomly had this fall off? I'm assuming this would be covered under warranty?

unfortunately people have been known to steal these tow hook covers. Since the car is new, the dealer may be willing to replace it under warranty.

If you go to the one on the front side of the car and try to remove it...you can see that it doesn’t “easily” fall off. (You can check the owners manual, too for info on how to remove the tow hook cover) It was either bumped hard or pushed...or like mentioned above...some scumbag may have actually took it.

Good luck trying to get it replaced under “warranty”. Since the vehicle is new...you may get some BMW “good will”...but this one is iffy. Nothing ventured nothing gained....good luck.

You will need to order #2 in the diagram to replace it & it only comes “primed”...it will need to be painted to finish it off before replacing it:

Any idea what the paint code would be since it’s not the car color?

The counter people at your local BMW dealership’s parts department should be able to give you this info. Just have the last 7 digits of your VIN when you go to the parts counter so they can look it up. Since its not “painted” it may come primed the correct color for your bumper.
