Greetings I am about to start looking for my perfect spec M 750Li. I have certain options that are a must have!
My question: Which is the absolute Best Sound System for this car? 🤔
I've read Bowers and Wilkins is lackluster? My X5 has B&O and I find it extraordinary for stock audio option! At least in the X5.
Other must-have options? What do you absolutely enjoy? What do you regret NOT getting or getting?
And to confirm, are there options for a Short Wheel base car for 2020?

I find the B&O system in the F series car much better than the B&W in the new G series. In my opinion Harman Kardon is the best bang for buck.

B&W is definitely a pretty amazing system. Surround sound w rear seat entertainment is like a mini man cave in my driveway - no I haven't watched TV and drank beer in the back seat

I get in a classic hip hop mood on Fridays on the way home from the office and let's say Snoop, Dre, hell even 95 South gets a play and it takes me back to the bass thumping days of my middle class wannabe youth.

I believe if even for the beauty of the speakers and lighting effects are worth it.

B&W in my 750, well worth it in my opinion, crystal clear sound regardless of the volume

I agree. That's the biggest difference I've noticed between HK and BO. Clarity.

If not for the sound, B&O with the LED lights and chrome covers looks sexy AF.

I had the B&O in my F10 M5 and my F02 750. I have the B&W in my G12 Alpina B7. Both are very good stereos but I liked the B&O best. Lighting is much better on the B&W.

Bowers and Wilkins in my 2018 is awesome. Very tight bass and crisp sound all around. I really like the car.

I'm not impressed with the HK system in my 2020 7. The mid level Burmeister in my 2017 e class was better. If great sounding audio is important to you, get the B&W. No short wheelbase 7 series in the us. Premium package and the executive package are nice to have, the driving assistance also works well and is worth it. While I like them, the massaging seats are pretty weak on this car vs my e class as well. The luxury rear seating package is nice, only worth it if you frequently have rear passengers. I'm sure many would disagree, I wish mine had 18" wheels instead of the 20" to improve the ride quality, however it still and improvement than my e that had 19" with non runflats. I would like to road test one with the autobahn package to see if it is worth it or not.

With ref to the sound system, the biggest improvement to sound that I had was to re-import my music collection at a much higher bit rate, to negate the compression I had previously on my Apple iTunes Music. My music is now .mp3 and on a physically small USB stick that plugs in inside the front armrest. Best music upgrade I ever did - I have the HK system, and now have really crisp highs and really tight bass - the prior iTunes compression had it sounding muddy.

So rather than just focus on the sound system, remember garbage in, garbage out, so the source is just as important, if not more so.

However, the HK system doesn’t have the fancy lights .....

I just traded my 2017 X5M with B&O for a 2018 750i with B&W.

The F85 B&O was very good, I thought it was excellent while I had it.

The G11 B&W is MUCH better!

I never heard it in a F85. I currently have B&O in my F15 X5 and it is incredible!
