Comfort Plus

Can someone please explain to me what exactly is comfort plus in the 7er?
Is it simply turning down the dial further on the steering, throttle response, and gear changes? Or is the suspension also affected?
Is there a noticeable change between comfort and comfort plus in the suspension and its softness ride? Does it do a good job even with run flat tires?

It would be amazing if in sport mode it provides a somewhat substantial driving feel of a sporty car...and in comfort plus to provide a plush ride that does not bottom out and just glides over bad roads and potholes.

Thank!

Yes, it affects the suspension and makes it indeed more boat like so it floats over more bumps but is very passive so even more docile than comfort mode! I have RFT’s and it’s lovely on bad roads but don’t use it much unless the road is very bad. Throttle response is even more relaxed which stops me most of the time from using it!

Yes I agree too, much softer ride. I tend to use on the motorway, especially on cruise control or on country roads where there is traffic and no opportunity for a more spirited drive - it is very relaxing, especially after a hard day in the office and with the massage seats on!!

Comfort Plus is great for a full car on a highway road trip. Otherwise, it is too numb for me. The thing eats bumpy roads for breakfast though. Don't like the impact on throttle response for city/road driving but on the highway it's great.

I don’t like it because the car moves around too much, l don’t like vertical movement. If you’ve got anti-roll bars then they are slackened right off as well

It makes a big difference on concrete roads - you don't feel the joint cuts. Also, the car starts in 2nd gear for smoother acceleration.

Comfort plus is lovely on the motorway as you can just drift along.
