New 2022 7 Series G70 Renderings (Uhhhhhm OK Then)
Definitely NOT feeling the double!/stacked Lighting Design. Apparently the upper are dedicated Running Lamps. If this design holds true, I am more than ecstatic with my plans to grab a 2020 M Sport for damn certain!
V12s are history. The flagship model will be all Electric. I hope than can spruce up the interior and more luxury. The floor is open for discussion... https://www.bmwblog.com/2020/10/27/b...es-g70-render/ |

Not a fan. I more prefer the direction they went with 5-series LCI.
Pretty common these days for the uppers to be dedicated DRL and headlights lower down. Some modern cars, the DRL look like headlights and the headlights look like foglights. |

Apparently the next 7er design was finalized during Jozef Kaban’s brief time at BMW. I wouldn’t be surprised if the design resembled some of his other work (I.e. fail to resemble a bmw). Case in point, the 5er LCI looks very much like a new skoda octavia.

Anything will be better than the LCI. Get rid of the grille, get rid of the quilted leather interior. Need to vastly improve the interior more than anything.

Bottom lights look like rolls Royce lights. Wouldn't be totally surprised if they went with it.
I have owned two 7 series and currently own a 2016 one. Will not be purchasing another 7. I think it's finally time to switch over to the other brands. |

The camouflaged car shown in the pictures on the internet look more like the current 7 series and one or two concept cars of the past without certain parts like the headlights. The outline of a big, 'ugly', kidney shaped grill can still be seen. There are no hockey sticks though.
Those two renders look more like a 'joke'. While the two, stacked style headlights on their own do not look bad, they surely do with that ugly grill; they do not fit at all with that grill shape and size, and they do not fit the 7 series type but more the SUV type. Seriously, does anyone think or believe that the new 7 series will look something like those renders shown in the first post? That being said, BMW already went worst in terms appearance with that even bigger and 'uglier' kidney shaped grill on the current 4 Series: the front cannot even be recognised as a BMW as such if the angel eyes (that are no longer even angel eyes these days, more like half angel eyes) and the kidney shape are disregarded. The fact that they kept the kidney shape as if an identity part made the car looked worst because with another shape, the big grill would have looked better. Problem is not about a revolutionary or radical change with them, but more like changes, revolutionary, radical or not, sometimes they made their cars look significantly worst. So, people can still expect some 'unexpected' shit from them if they not learnt anything from their mistakes so far. As long as people continue to buy and support those shit designs, they might keep throwing such shit on new models. Like, buy, but do not like, do not buy; do not support 'shit'. Like someone said here, maybe it is time to move away from BMW after having supported them for years. It is important to send them a clear message if something is really wrong. I don't like it all and really like the new designs BMW are doing but this one doesn't set right.

I'd like to gently remind people that the renders shown above are an artist's interpretation of what they think the car looks like without camo.
In reality, only the BMW designers know what is underneath the disguise.

The grill can be clearly seen from one of the pictures I posted. Of course, that is no confirmation of elements on the final product, but look well the right part of the first picture in my post. You will see the outline of a big kidney-shaped grill that is somewhat similar to the one of the current LCI 7 Series. In some way, cannot blame the person that made the render because many of the elements seen on the render are visibly present on the camouflaged car. I do not see the double-stacked lights though but the headlights look like they be in a lower position compared to the current LCI 7 series and that they are curved downwards at the outer extremities like in the render. I do not see the presence of a hockey stick on the side views. So, things do not look that encouraging or exciting so far, but the shape of the car at different angles as shown by the images of the camouflaged car can be a positive. Lastly, like I already said, like, buy but if do not like, do not buy. This applies to any brand. Not because a car is called a BMW, a Mercedes .... that people should buy, especially if the car does not look aestethically pleasing. The fact that people keep buying encourages them to continue providing undesirable elements. I had enough of ugly grills from several current generation models, and some other users had enough of ugly grills and other things like they mentioned on this forum. If the Asians like it, they can buy it, and BMW can keep their cars only for the Asian market. I might sound aggressive but it is justified given the shit they been providing and giving out as excuses. Last edited by Shantosh Seewooruttun; 11-02-2020 at 02:51 PM.. |

Fail to resemble a BMW is something, but if fail to look good then is a real fail. Like you can see some people are for big changes, but if big changes just make things worst what is the point? The render car does not look good at all: looks like a 'transformer' car.

My complaint is that the new LCI 5 looks dead on to a Jetta from front and rear. I wish BMW was keeping a more distinctive look, much like Mercedes seems to be doing. MB cars are evolving, but still their brand is still unique/distinct.

It definitely does not look like a bmw from the front to me. Instead, it looks just like this skoda. I fear for the designs coming out in the near future.

More troubling signs that this design may in fact be coming...

Not working for me. I may need to switch brands and end my decade long loyalty to BMW.
