What can I say?IMHO a pretty good notch above the G12.Smooth,quiet,refined,comfortable,compliant,pre cise.Guess you run out of words.Under restricted power for 300 miles and will strictly adhere to other break in instructions.Like the auto doors.Seats very comfortable.Auto start/stop not as "seamless" as I hoped.Think folks, including me,will be looking to code that off.Only My Modes configurability is in Sport. You can set all settings to comfort except drivetrain and disable ASS.Idrive 8 will be an adjustment. Some travel to the brakes.A whole lotta good and not much bad!Pics coming.

Congrats on picking up your car. Glad you are enjoying it.

When you say the start and stop is not as seamless, are you saying that it is obvious when it starts and stops and you can feel the transition?

Is the button to disable it for each drive easily reachable? That's what I normally do.

Looking forward to the pictures.

My understanding is the SS has no off button. I hope I am wrong. Seeing my car later today (though not taking delivery until Monday) and will see.

The button to turn it off is definitely no longer an option. The only way to turn it off is to switch to Sports Mode

Have had a 2016, 2018, and a 2020 presently. The '16, and '18 could be turned off to stay, not the 20. Really bothered me at first, but after getting used to it, it is barely noticeable. That is of course, if I am not in stop and go traffic, then I turn it off. They have really made improvements. Maybe the '23 is even better! As I understand, this has been mandated by "the powers that be". Here in USA anyway.

I can confirm that this is so. I had a chance to see my car but lots of things were not doable because it was still in transport mode. The carbon black with tartufo looks great though. I'll have some photos by tomorrow.

Finally picked up my car. Honestly, a bit overwhelmed by the new iD8. It's definitely going to take some time to get used to. Car looks and feels massive compared to the 2020 7 I turned in.
I only took 3 pics today and by the time I got home it was already dark. Will take more pics later

Never posted any pics so having a bit of a prob with that.Assistant back Mon.!Glad to see guys are starting to get deliveries.Anyway, car does feel bigger and kind of Mercedes like initially but you should quickly get used to it.Took a quick interstate cruise yesterday and car is magnificent.Great body control and effortless to place where you want it.It's hard to believe they keep getting and driving better but that is definitely the case here.I don't think anyone will be disappointed.Confirming no ASS defeat button. We'll have to work on that!Enjoy! It's been a long wait!

My i7 won't be here for months, but I saw a new 760 at our dealership today.

I really, really like the car. Overall, great stuff imho.

There are a few things to mention:

1. The badging on back trunk- the 7 is bigger font than the rest of the numbers. It looks really really odd.

2. The bmw emblem on the back is now very huge - now that it includes the backup cam

3. The clear diamond design of the led lights around the front dash are a bit much

4. The i-drive controller being clear crystal and all doesn't look as 'strong' as it could

5. the auto open doors are interesting - will take some getting used to

6. Overall, the front outside of the car looks like a RR

7. The curved front dash screen is nice - but it could be a bit taller imho

8. The cutouts for the bowers and Wilkins speakers are huge and seem to be a bit much. The sound system also added new speakers at the ear level over all doors.

9. Sunroof - although it doesn't open - is huge and spectacular

10. Digital control panels on both back doors are awesome

11. Wireless charging in back is awesome

12. Newly designed steering wheel is simplified and nice

13. The split front lights look mean and waaaaay cool

14. The squared-off back was my least favorite part of the car

15. Windshield is at a different angle than previous models - when you get in the car, you'll see what I mean

16. The base of the rear view mirror that is attached to front windshield is much bigger than before

17. The car is almost 6 inches longer than my current M760

18. On the curved dash display, you can have an augmented reality of what's in front of the car on at all times

The rear body design is not very appealing. I prefer the 2020-22 style with the side to side tail lights. With the last two changes in Mercedes Benz being awful, I hope it will appear better after some time. Rear design on most sedans have suffered in my opinion for a number of years. My choice is always mineral white. From what I have seen, the front appearance on the darker colors shows the new style much better.

I am a little confused. Please see the Owner's Manual. It says the car has one.

Is this manual actually wrong? Does this button actually do something else?

Please clarify, thanks.
