buying or leasing?

Interested in seeing the split between buying and leasing and why you chose one over the other.

Lease deals are terrible right now. 36 Month Lease payments are similar to a 60 Month finance payment.

I actually chose to finance because the lease rates didn’t look so good. Also couldn’t pass up the discount I got. I guess there was some kind of event going on this week at all the dealerships. I planned to lease because of all the stories I a hearing about the steep decline in values of the 7 series. This is my first 7 series and I am planning to drive it until the wheels fall off. Well, I say that now.

I leased because the APR at buy rates were better than I could find with financing.

Lol! My wife just gives me a blank stare when I say, ok , I’m going to keep this one for a while! But I am trying though, I decided to go with the 760 because it feels different than the other BMWs I’ve had and I don’t feel the need to customize or add any performance parts that can get so expensive and a waste of money IMHO. I am thinking of adding some light tint to the windows though. Not sure if the usual buyers of the 7 do this or not.

I have this mandatory post-sales spend on all my cars: ceramic coating + tinting windows. And then when I change the car soon after, I kick myself for having wasted $

OMG! I thought it was just me! It sucks that this does nothing for the value or trade in allowance.

Haha, this is so me as well. I spent $10k+ to stealth wrap, ceramic coat and tint my X5 and selling it this weekend after only buying it in August last year. Worse ROI than crypto...

Hahaha I thought I was alone in this battle. I got my 22’ X6 M50 last May and I’m itching to trade it for a 760. Only thing holding me back is that my interest rate on the X6 is 1.87% and the rates now feel like I’m selling my soul.

This beauty, it's a 2020 M50i with 19k miles. Still have her in my garage but my neighbor is buying from me this weekend. Such a great car, too bad the rear seats don't have enough space.
