Got mine last week. Looked heavily at the S Class and Audi A8. They are all great choices, but I couldn't be happier with my 7. It drives incredibly well, the seats are about as comfortable as it gets, and it looks beautiful (IMO).

It was a tough call for me as well.

I looked at the S-Class, very compelling but too common, and not distinct enough; plus didn't have the handling characteristics.
The A8, even more comfortable than the S, but lacked a V8 and power.
The Panamera, too sporty and expensive.
The Flying Spur, technology too outdated.
The LS, my second-choice, very unique and I love the Japanese execution at this level of luxury, plus good power and handling.

Ultimately, the 7 was the best total package for me. The A8 was more comfortable, I slightly prefer the S interior, the LS was the most exciting, the Panamera was the fastest, and the Bentley was the most impressive.

But, as a whole, the 7 was the best choice.

I wonder how many sales Audi has lost due to the idiotic decision to hold back the release of the V8 version of the new A8.
