2022 750i with 600 hp on BMW's website?
I'm fairly sure this is in error but BMW USA's website is currently displaying the 2022 7 Series. As far as I can tell there has been no official press release for this model year yet. To me it visually looks identical to the 2021 except the 750i claims 600 hp @ 5500-6500 rpm and 590 lb-ft @ 2000-5000 rpm with a 0-60 time of 3.5 seconds.
I think what's happened here is the figures for the Alpina B7 are being incorrectly displayed for the 750i xDrive. Also the displacement of the 2022 Alpina B7 is quoted at 6592 and the torque also matches the M760li, so that's erroneous too. However, the 0-60 for the Alpina is 3.5 vs 3.6 for the 760. I think its highly unlikely that the 750i is getting an upgrade in performance that matches last year's B7 and the B7 is gaining a V12. Most likely someone incorrectly updated the website or accidentally posted an uncompleted draft. Personally I would expect the 750i to keep the same output as last year. Still fun to dream though, right? https://www.bmwusa.com/vehicles/7-se....html#!#models Last edited by Coi; 03-25-2021 at 05:18 AM.. Reason: Added screenshots |
