game trading/selling
so last night after I got raped trading in Batman Arkam City I got to thinking. we should have an e90post game selling or even trading thing going on. now this really only works for new titles. also just to stick a thumb in gamestops eyes lol.
so put it this way I traded in batman. they were gonna give me $28. then with the 30% additional value for getting Uncharted 3 and my game card I ended up getting $36. now considering I owned the game for about 2 weeks that sucks. my thought is we could sell them here. so batman I traded in is $59/new and $50-55/used from GameStop. I got $36 but if I sold it here to a member for say $45 then everyone is happy. I as the seller got more money and the buyer got a better deal. we could even work out a trade system. I now have uncharted3. in a few weeks I'll be ready to move on. I would likely want mw3, battlefield etc. Maybe someone would be willing to straight up trade games since they are both very new. I dunno. makes sense to me. at least for the upstanding better known members. what does everyone think?

I think it's a great idea. I hate giving away games on trade ins.
The problem will be convincing people to give up the convenience... I just traded a bunch of games into Best Buy last night because it was on my way home and they had an extra 50% if you're preordering Skyrim. I thought about selling Batman to somebody I know for $45 but then I realized how much work that would be and how long it might take. Basically, laziness won yet again. |

Yea I understand the laziness. It's not like I'd leave a game hanging for weeks waiting for a buyer. Maybe a day or 2 then off to GameStop.

gamefly or blockbuster.
gamefly is $15 month for 2 games out at a time, but i found a better deal at my local blockbuster which is $11 a month for anything in store but only downside is 1 out at a time. but that doesn't bother me as my store is only 2 miles away. also my block buster always gets games on release day and i only renew my plan when i have a list of games coming out for the month so win-win. i never understood buying video games at $60. for longer games like rpg and stuff yea but everything else just sits and collects dust. just my .02.

I find it ridiculous that a new release used is only $5 cheaper at gamestop. I like to do the blockbuster mail thing, although you have to wait a while for new games to be available.

I'm interested if netflix will ever add games like they said they would when the whole qwickster stuff was being thrown around.
