What are the recommended tire choices for 245/45 19? I was looking at continental DWS 06 but the load rating is 98 instead of 102. The car is on its way to San Diego area with the 19" winter run flat wheels. The 20" summer staggered setup is sitting in Chicago.

Not 19" as I'm on 20" all year round but I'm looking to replace my RFT as they are just awful, MPSS are in the correct size and load rating for the 20"s.

Not sure if they do them in your size?

I replaced my R20 RFT couple years ago and with regular Continental tires which are way more comfortable

Have you found that they smooth out the cars tendency to crash/thump over harsh bumps?

Yes, but I always try to slowdown in front of harsh bumps, especially, speed bumps.

Well of course I find mine handles speed bumps well as they are generally smooth (I also slow down) I was more thinking of rough edged potholes/ridges ruts/drains in the road surface that that catch you out when travelling at normal speeds. I find that the car really can't cope with them and it bangs and crashes sometimes it's a what the hell was that moment as you didn't even see an issue as you drove along.
