All depends on your usage, your end goal and your budget.
If you want a POTENT incredible platform, get a C6 ZR1, although they're going up in price. If you want an NA build, do a C6Z. If you want something fast out the box that you might or might not track but want a fast street car that looks modern still to this day, C7Z. If you want those looks but don't need all that speed, get a C7 GS. If you're on a budget, although it'll be a bit difficult than the above, try to find a low mileage C5Z. |

C5Z is the best bang for the buck still. Next up is the C6Z. I have had a 600+ WHP C5, bolt-on C6 and modded C6Z. If the Z was not hardtop only (I need to add another vert. Love top down cruising), I'd buy another.
You will not be sad driving a C5Z or a C6Z. You will be thrilled |

Can't beat the 427 Vert if you want a Vert & the LS7 together. This market has them asking far more than I believe they are worth, though.

Best bang per buck, no clue, but I still think the best LOOKING outside C1-C3 is the C7. Anything C4-C6 is plain and boring IMO, but the C7 looks just mean.

This market applies all cars though. Who knows how long it’s going to take to get back to normal. I still can’t believe how much the C7 Z06 is going for.

The odd bit for me is how a C5 looks like a 'soap on a rope' now, but looked so - cohesive - compared to the C4 when it first launched. Friends of the family used to own a C2 Stingray. Now that still looks baddass, but I wouldn't want to own one... |

But I agree it’s going to correct. I’m just not sure how much and when though. I would have bet money the c7 z06 would have dropped some by now and it’s still been going up last few months (seems to have leveled out). With so few manuals being made now, and more EVs, and the complete lack of car inventory out there I do wonder how long it will be until we see cars drop. Because people seem to not realize it’s been over 2 years already…. |

I really don't want to sell mine. But it's getting older and i know sooner or later shit will start breaking. But man this car is amazing. Even if i were to get another one in the future, shit will be worse i assume. Should i just YOLO and end up with 3 corvettes? C7Z + 2 C8's? lol |

C6 Grand Sport. All of the handling goodies of the Z but much more reliable and still plenty of power with the LS3.
I sold my C6GS to move into the M2 and regret it some days. Will likely move back to a C5 and do a blower build or a LS3 C6 base. |

I went from a 2014 Cayman S to a 2015 C7 and regretted the move 3 days later if you are used to and appreciate the precision and refinement of a bmw, you might end up regretting the move. I enjoyed my M2 comp WAY more than I ever enjoyed that 2015 vette. Just make sure you get some long seat time in whatever corvette you are considering and don't be blinded by the looks and power, pay attention to how much you are actually enjoying the drive overall lots of people are good with the move from a german car to a domestic, but some of us aren't! |

I think bang-for-buck regarding Vettes has to qualify whether you are concerned about interior quality. The C5 and C6 have horrible interiors, but these two are arguably the best bang-for-buck performance cars a person can buy. Track monsters. The C7 offers comparable performance, based on my knowledge, but are a significant step up in interior quality. In Canada, C7 Z06 prices are also substantially more than C5 and C6. |
