Reduced driver assistance
I have been getting "Driving assistance support reduced" error pop up on the navigation lately and I noticed it occurring when I'm driving on the highway only.
After checking what systems are affected it shows: active blind spot detection, lane departwure warning, side collision warning. Funny thing is that the active blind spot detection does work when a car passes by. 2019 G12 |

It happens at times when a leaf or some other object blocks the sensor below the front spoiler or the cameras on the windscreen. Heavy rain (very heavy) or other conditions can affect it temporarily. It won’t clear the reduced setup until you stop and turn off/on the car again at least in mine. The newer ones have heated radar units on the front spoiler for snow contions as earlier ones (mine included) stop working then too...the mirrors and some systems/sensors remain unaffected by the front sensors being limited at times. Hope this is all that is stopping yours but if it persists get it checked out at a dealer. Safe travels.
