Bowers and Wilkins Bass
My wife recently leased a 2024 740i with a Bowers & Wilkins Surround System.
I have a 2020 X5 with the optioned Harmon Kardon 16 speaker system. It is my understanding that both these systems use two 217mm bass speakers. However, when I listen to music in my X5 the bass is noticeably deeper and rumbles more as opposed to the bass in the 740i. Am I missing something in the settings in the 740i (I have tested the same song at max bass setting in both cars)? |

The Bowers & Wilkins Surround System is the basic system, the "diamond" system is the optional one, so it is possible that your X5 option is superior to the base system in the G70.
Maybe try to play around with the Stereo/Concert modes and so on, but overall in B&W systems the subbass is not the best, in none of the systems, but the diamond systems in the iX and the G70 are the best on the market. Last edited by Berliner; 03-10-2024 at 02:30 PM.. |
