Why so many used?

I've been shopping for a 760 and am surprised by how many are available used. Hundreds! Is there some reason that people are giving these up shortly after purchase?

Possibly! I drove mid-seventies Cadillacs for years. The size doesn't scare me!

A few reasons why so many used ones. It’s not that people are buying them and changing their minds. You’ll be hard pressed to find someone who bought this car and didn’t like it enough to trade it in after a few months.

They’re bought by companies to give them to traveling executives, golf courses to ferry people around, and other short term “leases” for fancy people. Also this is a favorite amongst dealership managers.

Too Many Poor Quality and Tech Failure Issues

I would love to get rid of my i7 as it has just too many poor build quality and tech failure issues. I guess this could therefore be the same reason as to why so many others are walking away from this failed attempt by BMW.

I like Caveno’s answer. I bought mine with 4000 miles 8 months old cause the owner picked up the M70. Pretty good enforcement for the M60. Saved a ton, no surprises, just no electrify America included.

I have always found a lot of very new used high end luxury sedans, same is true of the S Class, you see almost new used ones all over the place. I think people trade them on a whim...

Maybe they buy them on a whim too.

Possibly over produced, I heard yesterday that was the issue with the 8 Series. You can get those half price now

I had mine (2023 760) for 6 months/4k miles and sold it a year ago because the car is unnecessarily too big and I miss the SUV driving position. Also even though I am a techy guy, there's too much tech in this car in your face. I hated the automatic doors and the stupid screens on the rear door panels. Glad I sold it at the right time though, discounts/incentives keep going up and the depreciation on these is nuts as more and more start to appear on the used market. Good deals to be had used though if one is the market!

Heh, I went from a sedan to an X5 because of the ride height, now I find myself missing the sedan, hence my lurking around this forum. Love the tech in the 7, you are right about the depreciation, its like a full on cliff dive.
