I think whoever bought this car has a lot of money and probably will not drive it very long. It's more of an unusual showpiece than anything else, kind of like a unique piece of art among other art pieces that they may possess.

BMW need to read people’s comments online! They are losing fan base , while insisting on those horrendous designs!

They read sales reports and that is it.

Now, whoever did this to a 7…I appreciate you. 99% of these roll off the line in drab colors meant to make their owners feel serious when they’re clearly freaky people for driving it in the first place. Let’s please not pretend anyone in the new 7 is reserved or trying to blend in - as cars go they are huge, aggressive, and extremely weird and I like them!

The sales numbers speak otherwise and I’m pretty sure that’s what really matters to them.

Finally got it back from the wrap place. Not as bright as the Turkish blue but I’m in love. More pics when I get the chance.

Wow!! Just when I thought they couldn't cheap their signature sedan out any further by slapping glossy black plastic anywhere else they've gone and totally out done themselves, reconstituting 50% of the design into fashion black plastic.

2026 goals - 75% of the body unpainted, high gloss, pre-scratched plastic parts for the modern educated and inspired luxury consumer.

Jokes aside I realize that some of this is probably paint. . . It's just exaggerated because of all the insane amounts of high gloss black plastic that already pollute the model lineup.

I'm fine with a couple bits and bobs for shadowline, but painted parts are luxurious, and high gloss plastic that scratches when the wind blows is not. There is a happy medium somewhere.

This thing is MINT. Gotta be the prettiest new 7 I've seen. I still argue that the front would look better with less plastic and more paint, but your car is beautiful.

I’m not thrilled with the exterior of my I7, but I don’t hate it. I like it much better than the M Sport bodied 7’s, but I would prefer if the car had a more conservative, traditional look to it.

On another related note, isn’t it fun trying to wash the windshield? I’m 6’1” and I have trouble reaching the top center of the windshield, especially if I am trying to not allow my clothing to touch the fender. The car is just SO tall & broad.

BUT, at the end of the day, when I sink into the huge, Marino Leather seat, relax to the rich sound of the B&W Diamond audio and feel that astonishingly, smooth, silent thrust as the car floats down the highway, the idiosyncrasies of the exterior design disappear and I just enjoy the ride.

Oh, and I almost forgot: I have not needed to return to the dealer for ANYTHING that wasn’t working properly, unlike my experience with another, German, luxury brand I could mention.

Is it the most beautiful thing I’ve ever owned? Nope. That award will always be my LC500. Does it have some quirks to learn? Yup. But oh my heaven is this thing an absolute DELIGHT to drive. My face literally hurts from smiling too much after a long trip.

And I’m not looking forward to detailing! Imma need a step stool to reach the top bits. This thing is an aircraft carrier.

It's really just the double headlights at this point. They painted more of this one, so it looks luxury. The double headlights just don't do it.

If the goal was to give the car more of a disoriented look than it already has, then it's perfect.

Its a strange forum phenomenon, but it is specifically bad about this car I agree. Honestly its one of the reasons why I didn't get it. I post on several general car forums and being told your car is ugly or terrible all the time gets old.

I have also found that in the real world people's thoughts about the car are very different. I know several people with them now and all of them say the car gets a ton of positive attention.

I like very few of the two-tone paints, but this one looks great!

My 997 turbo is triple black - I bought it anyway because it was the best car overall (from the ones one the market).
I would've paid 5k more for an interesting color (speed yellow, guards red, stuff like that).

Extremely weird is probably not the word I would use, I'll vote for outstanding.
It's not an invisible car that nobody will notice, that's for sure.

The double headlights are (besides the illuminated grille) one of the really cool exterior features!

I can attest to that - I have yet to hear a negative real world comment (and that's not because I'm so intimidating).
