Just throwing a curve-ball, but would a wagon maybe big enough?

Something like an Audi (R)S6 [not sure whether they are available in the US], F11 or G31 Touring, E63(s) Wagon ?

If not, disregard - but wouldn't that make the better "track"-like car?

Wagon in the US? Jesus man you want him laughed at? may as well be driving around naked.

I am a wagon fan myself but uptight white women have decided they are no longer cool.

E400/E63 and V70 and V90 are the only Euro near-lux wagons available in the US. Well, the dumb Allroad A4 too.

Or just get a Portofino.

I drove the Panamera wagon in 4S guise. I dare anyone to find a better performing jack of all trades vehicle. I'd take that over any SUV CUV whatever-UV without a second's hesitation.

Gun to my head you can only have one car for the next 20 years to do everything you need with a vehicle - that's my choice.

Add the Porsche and we have a Dinan F31 that's no slouch either. Best wagon you can get stateside before spending silly $.

Jag also makes one XF I believe. Drove it, it's nice but not my cup of tea.

I strongly prefer x6M to Panamera.

The X6 is a pig. But maybe he values the high seating position.

Just get new 2019 X5 in Msport trim and call it a day. Probably best package of utility, rear seat room, sportiness and decent value.

The 4S is the same $ as the Benz. If you need more car than that for roads in the US hats off to you, just let me know where you're driving so I can stay out of the area

Nicely equipped sport turismo 4s is around 135ish. 63s wagon 120ish.
TechArt power pack in the 4s and voila! Beast with a lighter front. Back seat leg room is better in the 63.
Both are good choices.

The 155 price posted is for the v8 turbo.

To close the loop on the search I have made a decision to go with a cpo cayenne S. At the end of the day the balance of comfort, visibility, performance it suites me well.
