hm....what I'm wondering about is, that alle the background-images feel very familiar to me from other BMW or Audi press-pictures...
...just starting to search for the old press pictures to compare... |

hm...seems to be the real deal - compared it with older pictures from BMW - the backgrounds are similar but not the same...and compared to the latest camouflage-pictures it seems to be the real deal...
...it's not really bad - but definitely still has to grow on me...not enough distinguished from the E65.... but however...interieur is great! |

One question - what happened to the CS Concept?
Front = boring. Headlights look good wit LED assembly, but overall shape is too similar to current 7 series. Grilles look good but ugly set against such a flat/boring bumper. Side = not too different from current model. side vents are only thing from CS Concept. Rear = Very weird/japanese looking. Just as ugly as current 5 series lights. Improvement from current bulky/heavy looking rear from current 7. Interior = stunning, but predictable. Looks like the new X5. Overall = Doesnt look like it took any hints from the CS Concept. It seems to use current BMW design language and I can see things like the front bumper and rear lights being quite controversial. It's an improvement from current 7 but still disappointing. Real-life shots might look better I suspect. I also think it'll be better in real-life. I'll give final opinion then.

It lacks the flow of current rear lights, but the rear looks less heavy/bulky. Hmmm...I hope looks better in real-life. Quite disappointed, especially with the lack of CS.

lets judge when we see the official pics , anyway as far as for these pics (99% offical) ummm , the bumper looks very boring , the grill looks massive , the interior looks good very bmwish , not so elegant and sexy like the S class - current and previous models, I hope it does have a good performance and I hope it looks even bigger in real life

Note that the CS concept was not supposed to be the new 7 Series. There will be another brand new model above/next to the 7 series which will be sportier, lower, more expensive. Think Aston Martin Rapide, Porsche Panamera...
The new 7 is more standard limo so not as sexy. Looking forward to seeing it in the metal though. |

the 7 series is so important, I just can't understand why they can not design a very good looking one, like the E38 and E32. It really is a bit disappointing. Only from the side does it look good. this was very important, in my opinion, and it is not what I expected. Design isn't everything, and I am sure that in every other aspect the car is great, but I believe design really is very important.

Itīs very sculptural and "heavy" and I like it, but I donīt like the lower front.

wow...one hour later and i'm already starting to feel the rear (after finding it crap at the beginning)...
I think that there is a huge problem with the viewing angel and lightning of the pictures we see - they don't cover the sculptural look of the rear. I'm also starting to see the concept cs within the design cues of this car - especially within the rear lightning....it's not that bad as it seemed to be after first seeing the pics... also the "pig"-look in the front... ...actually after resizing the front-view-picture (resized version attached), it looks totally different for me. Viewing angle combined with the low-sized pictures is crap. Making it bigger, you now see a lot more details as how the hood slides into the headlights...already makes it looking different... let's wait until we see it in motion on the web-special - should make it looking a lot better, I presume... |

I really want to love it but I just can't. Hopefully it looks different in person. What a shame. They have so many dang years to get this right and this is the best they could come up with. Good luck.
