G11/G12 Boot Liner

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Hi all

Does anyone know of a boot mat/liner for the G11/G12 (I think the boots are the same) that specifically has a fold out flap to protect the load lip/bumper? I can only find them for touring cars it seems.

Thanks

Not an official one but I've always just used an air mattress (rubber type ones) as a boot liner and that folds over the boot lip...

It protects quite well and is the DIY version that many Germans use!

I'll have a look on the BMW shop to see if they offer anything or if I find anything elsewhere and come back about more official versions.

Thanks very much, don't mind third party if I can find one. I would rather avoid buying an air mattress just for this use if I can avoid it!

Hi 325_bucks, most tend to just line the boot floor as you know, I did find one on eBay that did have a flap that folds to cover the lip but the whole thing was only £15 so likely terrible quality or won't last...

I also had a look on the BMW shop, no boot liner per se, however, there is this back seat protective liner that may be multi-purposed to the boot? Not ideal though and has holes for the seat belts, etc...so you may not wish to repurpose it for that.

Can't really see anything else, my suggestion stands to use a (double bed) sized old school air mattress as the boot liner and then fold a bit so that it can protect the lip as needed, won't look custom done but will do the protection and very inexpensive compared to many boot liners. Food for thought maybe.

I found this which says it fits G11/G12 and has the fold out flap required but it's not available in the UK. The only version in the uk is the one without the flap

The eBay item link is here in case you did want to look at it:

The other option would be to use a separate rubberised lip protector such as this one (in addition to a boot liner):

Might be worth giving them a call and saying you've found a US version of a product and would like to get it here?

There are several offices so may be worth giving them a call? (link shows UK office with number at bottom)...their products do look good, not had any experience with them or seen them in the flesh though.
