Next 7 series
I was thinking for the past few days about getting (THE) 7 LCI model, which is pretty expensive in my country due to VAT (23%) and road tax (19%), with residual only around 41% after 3 years according to BMW financing. My main concern is how it will look like after 3 years compared to new model, as for today, the LCI looks really moden when parked next to the pre-LCI one.
So I've spent 15 minutes in MS Paint... and came up with something that in my mind will look like next 7 series. Given the design language and what we've seen with 4 coupe concept, I believe this is what we may expect. Do you think I'm far off and do you still consider current LCI model kidney grill as huge, when you've seen what may be coming? I'll appreciate your comments. |

I'm not bashing the grills, I expect new 7 will be exactly like this. Of course the design will be better than what I've done by having 15 minutes of fun in MS Paint, but overall this is the direction I see them going, after seeing 4 concept and overall grills growing up across the lineup.

Don't worry about the grill, they will eventually remove it once they switch to full electric, which seems to be the trend in Europe after dieselgate scandal and other environmental/political and social factors. Youth generation don't want to drive, they want EVs with autopilot so they don't get distracted by driving while liking each other in social media.

The 2020 LCI is such an improvement over the 16' - 19' that I'd actually be pissed had I bought one before. It has sooooooo much more presence. And the full length light bar in back is just icing. I'll be snagging a pre owned one in a year or 2. That's how I always buy.

Well I think you did not get the point with this thread. I really expect the next 7 to have the look I 'painted' and I *LOVE* my current G11 (short wheelbase) LCI. Finally got it back this weekend, as I had it wrapped and ceramic coated in the last couple of days
