Hey folks, just joined today after lurking many months and educating myself about these vehicles. Certainly a wealth of knowledge here that’s much appreciated.
I purchased this 2017 740i over thanksgiving. It’s my first BMW. I have owned Porsche and MB but they were mainly hot rods and this is quite a departure to a full size German luxury sedan. Still getting to know the car and there’s a lot to learn, but so far I love it!

My goal when upgrading cars is very simple and I stick to it religiously.
I want it to retain an OEM look, but be so subtle in the mods that it just looks different & better than any other stock model on the road.

I’ve owned the car for a whole month lol. aesthetically, I bought it completely stock meaning all the little details came after I bought it.
1 owner from California.
I’ve been putting it together since then, starting to look wicked but always keeping that OEM look.

I’m not done yet on the outside, but here are some exterior shots w/ bad lighting but had just finished a wash. Inside is where it really sets off, that is just a sneak peek it’s like a spaceship and I’m not done there yet either

What's the information for the coding of the extended light pallette? Can you do that with bimmercode? I've coded a bunch of stuff already but didn't know this was possible

Had updated to ID6 when I first got my G11 a little over a month ago.
Yesterday updated the Navi via USB upload to the 2022 version

Sold my Alpina B7 due to driving so much for work and condition of roads. Picked up the 740 to replace it. Definitely a different car but hard to beat the 31mpg.
