sorry man, no never figured it out. It was leased and now I got the 2020 BMW M8 GC. what I heard is the LCI for 7 series fixed the problem and now you can play same video on all screen simultaneously.

Yes, I can confirm. I've the 7 LCI and the screens are now connected. You can watch now the HDMI Input on the front and rear screens together.

Tried the apple hdmi lighting connector but no hdcp contents can be played, i have the home screen, netflix menu but black screen when trying to plat contents, did anyone manage to resolve this?

Ever since about 2017, the official iPhone Lightning to HDMI adapter ceased being able to project copyrighted or copy-protected content from sites like Netflix.
