Discounts on 760i
Hi fellow Bimmer lovers,
Wanted to know if anyone has been seeing discounts on cars? I was offered $4k off MSRP on a $126k to $122k Is this a good deal or are people seeing more off or none at all? Thanks in advance team BMW! |

I don’t think anyone can get the epic discount Patrik received. At least on the east coast, I talked to about 11 dealers across NY, NJ, PA, MD. 8 of them didn’t even entertain any convo about discount and said we are selling these at msrp without a problem. One offered 1-2% discount and another one offered me 6k discount on 123k msrp which I then ask the last dealer (that has the specific car I wanted) to match and they did. I also tried workin with lease brokers as they usually can do the best discount through their dealers and the best they could offer was 2%. Overall, I think you can negotiate discounts but how much depends on the region

I have a broker in the Bay Area that offered 11% on any in-stock car at one of the bigger dealers there. I used that to push down my local dealer. Their “best” offer prior to that was very similar to Spencenyc, about $4k. Happy to share the contact and see if you can do something similar. Even buying it in CA, ship it and then register it in NYC might be a better financial option.

I would have taken this deal in a heartbeat! I actually got 6k off of 125k. It was the only one they had left and it had just arrived a few days earlier.

Stupid question here....can someone explain this "broker" discount? Is this just for leased vehicles? Or does a middleman actual 'broker' a 8-11% deal for you? Many thanks in advance for educating me!

Brokers have prenegotiated deals with specific dealers of different brands. You pay them a flat broker fee (around 400-500) and once they find you the specific car you want, you pay them and they connect you with the dealer. It is a solid arrangement and is well worth it
