2020 750 vs m760
Has anyone spent enough time behind the wheel of a 2020 750i and an M760 to be able to discuss how the cars compare?
Obviously, the V12 engine at 600 hp in the M car, but wondering if the added horsepower in the 2020 750i makes them considerably closer in performance. I think the 0-60 numbers are only .3 to .4 apart at this point. All thoughts appreciated. |

If you're looking for the fastest, most refined, and by far the rarest 7-Series; go with the B7 Alpina.
Cheaper than the 760 and will hit 205mph if you're into that sort of thing.

not exactly scenario you are asking for, but may be close enough. I went from 2017 750Li to 2018 M760li. I also own M850i, which is the same engine as in the current 2020 750.
Out of these I find myself driving 760, it is just so much more enjoyable. I did not expect the v12 to make much of a difference, however it is. Could be that it is so effortless in power delivery, has both power and torque at any RPMs. Or it could be that it fits the character of the car perfectly. It could be because it is so silent, and it does not sound strained like the V8 does. I don't know, but the end result I drive the 760 all the time, grabbing the M850 only once in a while.

And I already purchased it outright, I think this is the vehicle I'd like to keep long-term.

BMW committed to producing the V12 until 2024, but I guess that could mean only the Rolls Royce models would get it. I just assumed since they've already sunk all that R&D into making it work in the 7 series they would continue to offer it. |
