The frustration begins!I'm Week 41 but still showing Scheduled for Production.Called the Genius Line and now they say that's the week production begins. They previously and others here have said that's when production is complete. It's only a couple of weeks but I'm not getting it.Oh well.

Geniuses aren't all geniuses. The production week has always been week of completion. I'm week 43 and production "started" a couple of days ago, but it could stay in that state for a while. Once production begins (paint shop is first I think), it takes about a week.

We are week 41 and showing 150. The first two weeks between 150 and 151 are for the suppliers to receive the orders for the parts so they get delivered in a perfectly timed manner in the production process. The actual production usually takes 1 to 3 days.

Where does it show 150-151?
How long did yours stay on "production begins"?

Those are behind the scenes statuses you can get from your client advisor or by calling the genius line. This one is still in 150 and scheduled to complete production on 10/12. This is the 3rd bmw in my family this year and almost always 150 takes 2 weeks.

Next Monday will mark three weeks for me being on 150 maybe due to supply shortages ?

It could be that or also because it's a new car. If you have individual paint, interior, or trim, it can also increase the 150 times

Yes, things are moving, it seems. My original production date was week 43 (week beginning Oct 23); Today they told me the new production date is Oct 13, so that is a gain of at least 10 days. Keeping fingers crossed about when it will get on a boat afterwards.

I put my deposit down in April, submitted my spec a few weeks ago and finally got a production number. I just called BMW Genius and they told me I am production week 4 which is not until January 22 :/ I was hoping it would be sooner.

It is dependent on what allocations your dealer has (or is willing to devote to your order). I didn't put a deposit down until July but am a repeat customer at my delaer, which I think helped. But who knows? Also i7's seem to be coming later than 760's.

Is yours for a 760 or i7? I have the very first slot at my dealership right behind the dealer production car (he sent me a screen shot of their system). Also my dealership, Buena Park BMW in Southern California is one of the Pilot programs for the i7 so they get very early production slots.
I am guessing they are prioritizing the 760's over the i7, which doesn't make a lot of sense.

I'm a 760. I also would not have thought they'd give priority to 760s over i7s but I'm unsure whether or how they are prioritizing. Certainly the production process for ICE and electric drivetrains is different and all the components have to be present before they can mate it to a chassis, and I suspect (but do not know) that that explains the difference.

I just noticed that the option for Integral Active Steering was removed from the online builder. I hope this doesnt mean that they will try to move it from our builds that are in production.
