The Tivo video app was originally pushed out in the USA last month, however it has since being removed from a number of vehicle lines including the X5, X7 and i assume the 7er/i7. It is available on the new 5 series in the USA, along with the new gaming service app.

I think it could have being a mistake it was originally pushed out to other car lines and they wanted to save this new service for the new 5 series. At least for now ..

On top of that the fact it is using BMW connected data rather than your own personal eSIM data plan is a bit odd, because obviously as its video, the app does consume a fair bit of data. Considerably more than the Spotify audio app. You would think they want to make it work consistent with the way Youtube works, which does require eSIM.

BMW Connected services provision the connected service apps for the car lines and specific vehicles. They decide which cars get what.

Yea, well maybe they are just trialing it in blocks for a bit on some users cars. I had it for about 3 weeks or so, and then it got pulled.

It will be in the PLEX app once you’re completely logged in to your PLEX account, in the tree on the left.

so how does one get the Tivo or Plex app? I am on 8.5 and I don't have it on my CID or my theatre screen I choose software update and nothing is available in car on in the MY BMW App

I run my own Plex server with Movies, TV Shows, Live IPTV and Music and would love to have this on one or the other native screens. I currently get around this on my Theatre Screen by utilizing an HDMI Roku Stick

Mine was pushed without any initiations on my part, I’m guessing they’re doing them in batches. I just woke up one morning and it was there.

well then I have no faith it will actually work lol. The Plex app on my Tivo STBs at home doesn't work or connect to any of my servers including my on-prem box, yet magically it works perfectly fine everywhere else with the same servers, including on the Samsung SmartTV native Plex app that the Tivo STB is connected to.
