The E38 is still the baddest 7 of all! Perfect balance of (BMW) performance and style!

E32 and e38 are timeless.
I still give them a second look when I spot one in the wild.

Love seeing the evolution video. One thing that struck me is how the older cars seemed to have a lower profile while the new cars look bloated but certainly more luxurious.

Third looks the best. This new one is a glorified 3er. It looks so tame compare to S.

My inner monologue:
1) mmm, 2) classic, 3) perfection, 4) OH GOD WHY, 5) Ehhh, rubbish, but I dont despise it. 6) Hmm.. heading back in the right direction. Lubor dem e38s. Like I said its going in the right direction. Maybe in another gen, or after a facelift the 7 will be good to go again. Grill is far too large. That thing on the side is just stupid. |

The difference between the E23 and E32 are dramatic...the E32 and E38 (James Bond 7er) are forever classics. Those were BMWs glory years of being the ultimate driving machine.

my first car was an e32 735i (passed down to me when I was 16). LOVED IT!
Family had an e38 740iL. LOVED IT EVEN MORE! After those two 7ers, never liked them since. Like the post above, the e32/e38 were why I loved BMWs in the first place. |
