BMW i7 on 22” VOSSEN HF7 – The Perfect Match?
Hey everyone, I recently upgraded my BMW i7 with a set of 22” VOSSEN HF7 wheels, and I have to say, the transformation is incredible! The sleek and futuristic design of the i7 pairs beautifully with the aggressive yet elegant look of the HF7s. The fitment is spot-on, and the ride quality is surprisingly good for 22s. For those considering a similar setup, here are some details: • Wheels: VOSSEN HF7 – 22x9.5 (front) & 22x10.5 (rear) • Tires: 265/35/22 (front) & 295/30/22 (rear) • Suspension: Stock air suspension (lowered slightly via coding) A few things I’ve noticed: ✅ The stance is perfect – flush with the fenders but no rubbing issues. ✅ The ride remains smooth thanks to the i7’s adaptive suspension. ✅ The HF7 design complements the i7’s futuristic lines really well. Has anyone else fitted aftermarket wheels on their i7? I’d love to see your setups and hear your thoughts on different wheel choices! Here are some pics of my setup: [Attach images] Let me know what you think! Would you go with a different design, or is the HF7 a winner? Last edited by dgarageua; 04-05-2025 at 01:39 AM.. |

They look great but 22" for me would be insane given the potholes and bad roads in NY.

Wow foes that ever change the car. Really cool stance. Now you just need to color match those reflectors and it’ll be badass. Did mine and really makes the car look sleeker and not chopped up from orange and red lights standing out.

Great stance! Would you mind elaborate on how you coded the suspension? Is it always in sport? Or just actually lowered a bit?
Also what are the offsets front and back? Nicely done and thanks for sharing! |

The suspension is factory adaptive, but it’s been lowered via coding, not mechanically. It sits in a slightly lower position than stock even in Comfort mode, but Sport mode keeps it firmer and visually more aggressive. It’s not maxed out — just a tasteful drop for better stance and drivability. As for the wheels: Front offset: ET15 Rear offset: ET25 No rubbing issues, even on tight turns. Let me know if you’d like more pics or details — happy to share! |

Lowering via coding is actually super simple. When you go into the adaptive suspension calibration, instead of entering the real ride height values, you just input slightly higher (fake) numbers — around +10 to +20mm. The system then recalibrates and lowers the car accordingly. No extra parts needed, and you can always revert to stock. It keeps the ride quality and handling really balanced. Let me know if you need step-by-step or software suggestions — happy to help! |

Thanks for the updates! Step by step instructions on coding the suspension would be a huge benefit to the community.
I’m familiar with using links and coding via Bimmercode, it didn’t know you could actually drop it permanently that route. |

That must be a great trick cause it will also keep the (comfort) level logic. My question is, is this (coding, as in ESYS), or are you referring to service diagnosis and settings (within ISTA+)? If so, can you share the steps? dgarageua |
