It's colder than Yellowknife, NWT. I had to drag out my snow scraper again this morning.

What even is spring?

It’s winter again! Temps in the low 30s tonight. I keep flipping from heat to A/C to system off and back again. Same in the car. Heat in the morning, A/C going going home. Back to heat in the house tonight. I want to put on my summer wheels already! Mother Nature really has her panties in a wad.

I would think that your X6 starship would automagically control the climate to a set temperature? My Bavarian Golf Cart has the inside temperature knob set to 64 F, and it figures out how to make it happen no matter what the outside temperature is.....

Don’t even get me started. The previous few generations had a knob for the temp. I could just spin it from 60 for A/C to 72 for heat. Now I have to press the freakin arrow 12 times to change the temp. WTF? If it’s not broken, don’t fix it! I love the smooth shift changes on the transmission and the power but all this other nonsense makes me crazy

Beauteous today. Warm, dry, sunny. A bit of wind, but nothing like the gales we've been having lately.

Like my over-engineered MB. You can't actually turn off the sound system. It's always on something, just muted. If you accidentally tap the mute button on the steering wheel, you get to listen to whatever was playing when you muted it before. Sometimes when I'm driving alone I'll crank it up a bit and then mute it when I get home. Then the next time I'm out with Wifey, I'll brush the mute button by mistake and blast her eardrums. What's wrong with a simple on/off button?

There's nothing more depressing when everything is green and flowers blooming and having to get-up to white caca ( Thanks JJ for that one)

I live in UK, 15 degrees today. Out in the sun is kinda nice, in the shadows is like someone keeps the door of a freezer open all the time.
10 years living here and I still can't get used to this...

Tornado watch tonight. Nothing nasty looking yet, but who knows. Springtime in the Midwest.

82F here right now. Clear blue sky and sunny. No wind.

The heat will be coming. 100F+ days here in the summer.

Guess you can't have it all. Oh well, enjoy it while I can.

Sure enough, it did dip below freezing here on May 1st.

Today's NWS alert is another day with elevated risks of fire, due to the wind and recent desert-like low humidity.

I went to bed last night with the bedroom window cracked and bathroom vent fan on, both for a bit of cool/fresh air but mostly so that I could smell if anything was burning outside. Living in a house surrounded by thousands of acres of state forest and other woodlands, we live in fear of fires during the spring dry season. About midnight, a skunk wandered past outside. I had to disable the electronic dog door before OCD psycho dog caught a whiff and let himself out to do battle, and then closed the window and turned off the fan.

At 1:15 AM, OCD psycho dog woke us up howling at the window. The local fire department was rolling all trucks for some call, and he howls at their sirens in the distance. They were making an awful lot of noise and also wailing on their horns as they were driving, especially for it being after midnight and the roads being 100% empty. The first thought to cross my sleepy mind was the fire risk advisory and them intentionally wailing on the horns to wake everyone up to evacuate, so I had to go outside and do a 360 scan to make sure that there was no fire nearby.....

Can you hold the button?

So it's not just my area acting up, the sun is out but this winter has been super strange, not as many storms but the damn cold still hasn't gone. It's already May but still chilly even though the snow's long gone.

More dreary grayness. Overcast and mid-50's. Forecast is calling for temps near 90F for most of next week. Early Spring to mid-Summer in less than a week.

Sunny and 68.

At lunch I took a short walk on a long pier (or something like that) with no shirt.

Here in Germany it was a mild cloudy day. We have a typical April weather this week. Some days it‘s warm and sunny and some days it‘s cloudy or rainy.

Next week will be better fortunately :-).
