Love Dravit metallic on the 7

Our son has Dravit metallic on his 2024 M3 Comp and he is obsessed with it. The more I saw it in different lighting, the more I have become obsessed as well

I knew when I traded my very hard to keep clean Black Sapphire i5 M60 for an i7, that I had to have Dravit. I also love and wanted Space Silver, but I cannot understand why BMW does not allow Space Silver to have the M Sport Pkg. Strange!

Here's a quick pic, while parked at Target I think Dravit is magical on the 7 Series.

I like it in a lot of lighting, but in no lighting it looks flat and one dimensional to me...

I don't agree, they all look different in the light obviously but something about the Dravit just doesn't work for me...

Yes, and I think it works in two-tone. Aventurine Red looks sooo flat and dull when having it on the whole car on cloudy days, but in two tone it always has its beautiful aspects ;D

Last gen I loved the Bernina Grey effect which was really special.

Some BMWs lack "contours" in Alpina White imo.

To topic:
Looks cool in the sunlight - I had the Berninagrey last gen which also had a cool effect in the sun, love these kind of colours Glad you're happy with your purchase

Sorry, I suppose I am in "buying" mode and am thinking about colors in the abstract, didn't mean to be a downer.

Exciting to be in the beginning of it. I too deliberated long and hard over colors. Never seen a car that is so color dependent or that looks so different from every angle based on color choice. Good luck.

Although I love the 580 outside, I have heard many times the 560 was a more solid build and I looked at the S63 for a long time but the i7 won me over with its aggressive styling, handing and solid build feel. I think you’ll really like yours when you get it.

I saw a Bernina Grey effect M550i yesterday and it is AMAZING. It might even be better than Dravit!!!

Yeah it really is color dependent! I'm in the same biat about the S580, the interior is just not as well made as the interior in my 560 nor the interior in the 7, and all the issues make me very nervous about getting one...

a question for those with Dravit because Ive never seen it in person. Is there a tinge of green in there? Seems like it in the photo above, but lighting makes it hard to tell.

Yes-ish Dravit is a magical unicorn. It is VERY light dependent to see and experience all the different colours it morphs into and out of.

Khaki/green, grey, gold, minute specks of blue (in full sun)...Dravit might be my favourite, current colour offering from BMW.

OMG...that is Porsche Individual, Bentley and Rolls pricing for paint. Diamond White is beautiful though.

I had a special order diamond white metallic on my 2016 G-Wagen, and even in 2016, it was almost $10,000
