I also want to make a point that may be getting severely overlooked... Think of the S Class above or a Bentley or particularly a Rolls Royce. What do they share in common?
A "Grill/Face with Presence".

I don't believe the 7er mission has ever been to be an equal alternative to the S Class.

I and I am certain, BMW would disagree! That is the EXACT purpose of this car: Full Sized Luxury Sedan/Saloon competitor. As is the Audi A8 and Lexus LS.
