Software Update: MX-3.5.4 & TX-3.5.8

Hi all,

Trying to figure out if my vehicle has the latest software.

It is a 2011 750Li xDrive.

In settings I’m seeing it’s running the versions shown in the picture attached.

I went to the following website: https://www.bmw.com/en/footer/software-updates.html

Entered my VIN and it states: Software Update found: UPD01008

I’m confused, though, as the PDF instructions attached are not clear on what the software updates to.

Anyone have a better sense of what the PDF means? Is what it’s saying means that MX-3.5.4 and TX-3.5.8 are the latest versions?

I don’t know why I’m having difficulty understanding what the instructions state. :|

Thank you.

I have a 2011 740i, and mine on the exact same version yours is on. UPDxxxx is just the name of the update package.

You can always download the latest UPD, put it on a USB stick and see if the car accepts the update (if the car is on the lates version, it prompts you whether you want to re-install it; otherwise it prompts you if you want to update).

When I go that site, it says it is already up to date. I have no idea how that is even possible since I dont have connected drive.

The car is 2009 F01 740D.

A while back, I was able to download to USB, but seems not possible now. I remember I was one behind but was unable to update myself.

It says now on the website everything is up to date.

I have a feeling BMW just give up with older cars. I have a 2012 F01 and same software that last supported the iPhone 4S
