Is it CPO? What the mileage? Make sure you gets a pre purchase inspection

I have a 16 750i and id say it's been okay. My car is under warranty and has extended through CPO so I really didn't pay much attention to it. My previous M5 F10 was a solid car. 0 mechanical issues and rarely at the dealer.

FYI - I was looking at trading for an F90 and bmw would only offer $29-32k for trade in and my car is in mint shape and loaded. Just something to think about. You'll have an immediate loss depending on what you'll be paying.

In 10K miles I've had the following issues.

Low/High fuel pumps replaced. The car intermittently would not start. BMW could not figure it out. Replaced both pumps and no issues since. Roughly 22K miles when this happened.

Rear sunroof cover would not function. They replaced the mechanism.

Driver seat fan was off balance and making a grinding noise while driving / taking corners. Replaced fan.

Seat stitching coming un done. Replaced seat cover.

Dash leather peeling up in the corner. Replaced dash

Plastic on the door trim peeling while wiping down with damp towel. Replaced door trim / panel

Driver side door leather is lifting up, bmw just approved door replacement. Waiting for the part from Germany

I do have ivory leather and I'd say the leather is a bit of disappointment. I find the color on the seat us wearing away showing the undertone. Bmw repaired twice. I'd go with black next time. Never see the imperfections.

I've had many cars and I'd say these items are not extreme but for the amount of miles I have seen very premature and unexpected in a flagship car. Overall BmW has done an amazing job handling the issues and providing excellent customer service. With that said, I would never own a 7 series without warranty of some kind. It will brake the bank. Better off getting an M5 F10 for half the price.

Not trying to knock the car. I think the 7 is a beautiful machine and the drive is amazing. Just wanted you to be aware of my experience. I'm sure everyone will have a different story. My only advice is to have a warranty through bmw and drive that price down. These depreciate hard as you can see from the sale price and the trade in.

If I had to do it all over again, I'd lease a new 7 instead and not have to worry about it all. Haha.

Oh trust me, I’ve had the worst luck with all little electronic expensive stuff going wrong on my M6. I also had my dash replaced because it was lifting. This car is not CPO just came out of warranty last month. I will be buying an aftermarket warranty for sure just for peace of mind. I just wanted to ride in something comfortable. This has every option except rear TVs and I’m going to try and get it for 33k it has 46k miles on it
33K for a 750i seems solid. See if you can get BMW warranty direct. If not, find out from bmw who the preferred third party is. They will know who's easy to work with and who isn't. You don't want to end up with someone who denies everything.

Sucks you had issues with the M6. I guess IFS just hit or miss with these cars. Can't believe you too had dash lifting issues. My M5 didn't have extended leather so that's probably why I didn't experience those issues.

I have a 2016 750i XDrive M Sport. 0 issues so far. Bought in August 2019 with CPO and 55k miles. Currently 64k miles.

I use an Indy for routine stuff. My only gripe is that the dealer sold me the car with almost no tread left on the tires. When I put snows on in October my Indy recommended replacing the tires come spring. A disappointing expense I was not expecting. Live and learn I guess.

So my advice is check the tires.

Yes, live and learn. The lesson is any used car should have its tread checked (and the age of the ties) before purchase. If you bought it with 55k miles, even if the tires had been changed once (at say, 25-30,000), and you then drove it for a couple of months, it is not suprising that new tires were needed. I made a similar error a few years ago buying a used E61 with about 35,000 miles, low mileage because the car was only a few years old. Dealer told me the tires were new. Not so, and I didn't check the code on the tire sidewalls. Not only did the tires wear rather quickly, but when I took the car in to a tire shop less than a year after purchase, they pointed out that the age of the tires also called for replacement. (Have never returned to that dealer).

Welcome to the "Squeak & Rattle Club". My 2019 has been in for service over 60 days to fix various noises. The technician told me that each time they fix a noise a new one pops up. Utterly insane that the flagship model would have build quality issues like that. It's at the point now that BMW is going to have to buy this one back or give me a different one.

Sounds like you got it for a great price. Just curious, does it have Autobahn Package, Executive Drive Pro, and M-Sport?

I just got it back from the dealer, they just replaced one of the bowers and Wilkins subwoofer’s and I had a seat that squeaked like a mouse when I went over a bump which was a loose seat frame. So far it’s a smooth ride. But I have a question. When I park and turn off the car I hear hissing from the rear like the airbags are letting out the air, is that normal? I forgot to ask the dealer.
Thats ur air suspension I think its normal lol, mine does it everytime I switch it off after a few mins

Wow, that's an incredible deal. All the ones in the low 30s I'm seeing are pretty base model (well, as base as a 7 gets). I'm thinking about dropping $39K on a black on black (my desired color combo) that has Autobahn, Executive Drive Pro, and M-Sport, but none of the back seat options, just plain fixed bench, no Night Vision, and base 19" wheels. Can't get them to budge one cent. Now I don't feel so good about it considering the deal you got, lol.

There was a silver one in Carrolton TX that was fully-loaded with everything except executive lounge seating and alcantara, but has executive rear seat package with screens. Also had 20" wheels which I prefer. It's been listed for $41K and appears to have sold today. I would have been willing to pay that for a fully-loaded one except I really want black-on-black.

Congrats on the new vehicle! I'm actually in the market for a 7 series at the moment. Would you be able to go over a few things to know if I'm getting a good deal or not? How much was your vehicle price? what fees did the dealer charge you? (Doc fee, cert fee, etc..) Also, was the car you bought from a bmw dealer? In addition, did you end up buying a third party warrant? If so, who and how much? Also, the stuff that they just changed out for you, did you have to pay out of pocket or how was that taken care of?
