New shoes-20" Hamann
Got rid of the 19" Hamann rims and put on the 20" today, same design as before but looks way better. In terms of ride, it is still as smooth as before, maybe 10% rougher but nothing you will feel right away. Ride also feels more firm and gives you that confident feeling, hard to explain but all I can say is that I love it and I am so glad I swapped from 19" to 20". Took it up to 120mph earlier and it felt rock solid, not noisy at all either. The rims stick out a little as they come with 10mm spacers from Hamann to give it that more aggresive look. I was not so much for spacers but 10mm isn't much plus they were recommended by Hamann. Off course I have the option for removing the spacers but I'll leave it on for now, I like how it sticks out.
Verdict: 20" rims are a good compromise between looks and comfort. |

Cool. Are those run-flat tires?

Thanks guys, not only does it look good, it also feels good. I just drove it to work this morning and honestly I could not feel a difference from the 19". Again the roads in Singapore are very smooth.

Hi SamLambo,
Glad to see fellow Singaporean here in the Forum. My ride is the same color as yours! Mineral white right? Looking to upgrade my wheels soon too, what do you think of 21"? is the ride too harsh for daily driving? |

No mine is Apline white which is a flat white. I'm using 20" rims and it's a good compromise between looks and comfort. I think anything more would be pushing the envelope. Do remember it is a 2 ton car and you do need a bit of rubber if it hits a pothole. But than again many in the forum also do use 21". I personally feel 21" is overkill. |
