Yeah Tourings are going for at least $215-220k these days for a mint one. with 10k miles they are still 190k+. its basically a gt3 without a wing, manual only, no suspension or engine changes. it does have a different airbox design giving a slightly different sound. but thats it.
the 991.2 carrera or carrera T is also a solid choice. Tune + exhaust and you are putting down 500hp (pretty much what a 2014 turbo puts down stock). And you get a purer experience with RWD + manual if you want. Or you can option with awd and pdk with the 4s variant.

There is a reason why the Porsche GT cars are so revered. They offer a special driving experience that is almost impossible to get in any other car.
If you plan to go on long road trips - 911 Turbo is the better car but for a weekend toy, the GT3 will always feel more special. |

This is a good question and makes sense since price points can overlap depending on which years and new vs used etc. I think, based on your intended use, would go for a Turbo S. They tend to depreciate a little faster at first, so you could pick up a 991.1/2 for a fairly reasonable price if willing to buy used. Like said above, a Turbo will be a little more comfortable but I’ve ridden in GT cars that seem very civil as well. If you need creature comforts, you want the Turbo. If you want bare bones, light car that may not always fit your driving need, then go GT3. I have a 718 Spyder on order which would cost about the same as a 991.1 Turbo or GT3 and might be something you’d consider (or GT4).

While I agree that the Turbo is more daily-driver, the GT3 can do the job as well just fine. Particularly if you outfit it with PDK and non-bucket "sofa" seats. |

I'm an owner of a gt3.2 and my buddy has a 15 turbo s. Without a doubt the turbo s is a way better daily. It's quicker, easier for daily because of the torque as well. The bucket seats look amazing, but they're such over kill in my opinion.
For me it was extremely easy.... I went w the gt3 as it's not my daily. 100% would get turbo s if I was going to daily it., You can't go wrong. |
