you are 100% correct. American companies usually report fake extrapolated crank hp numbers - calculated from some Mustang dyno whp multiplied by the usually fake drivetrain loss coefficient of 15%.

Put the C8 Z06 and the 992 GT3 on the dynojet and you will see that the numbers are much closer than you think.

When the C7Z first came out it was advertised 10.95 @ 127.

Owners got them and were running 10.3-10.6 @ 130+ bone stock.

Bring in a mid engine layout, infinite traction, more power, better gearing and the C8Z will run a low 10 right off the bat. Just like BMW advertises an 11.7 for their RWD comp models and guys are running faster.

The fact the M8 runs a 7:30? At the ring clearly shows M cars have no place than what z06's can do. No offense to this community. An M8 has no place to be with z06's.

The C8Z is the real deal supercar. And the troll posting is actually a fan of the car, that's why he's constantly posting in this thread LOL.

That clown will be the first one jerking off at the sight of a C8Z in person.

Truly not a fan of fad cars which the c8 is in my book. The style is just too "forced" per se. As I have repeatedly said, it's great marketing though. Frankly I think the C8 is Cheddar as fuck. I'll never forget having my Demon at The woodlands market street North of Houston in valet and that car broke more necks than the Aventador, F12, and 600LT that were near by aswell. Exotics are lame. All flash no gas, and shitty exhaust notes. The exceptions are the new 765LT and SF90. The C8 is a good concept, yet it's all flash and unicorn Shit.

They have traction and a cult following that Ford with the GT500 wish they had.

FCA doesn't try to target a track minded car so they're not in contention.

As for jerking off to cars.... fast trucks are more entertaining and heavy boats on 4 wheels with back seats are my jam..

That was a good starting point!

Never been into antiques, but I can appreciate the passion. My current Mopar setup is Demon 1 of 80 silver produced, 1100hp E85 built TRX, and 2 Cummins Megacab duallys..... one very fast pushing 90lbs of boost, the other..... only deleted and flashy redneck Cadillac.

FCA screwed the pooch with the Hellcat Durango and I sold it because it was too slow.

If Mopar got into the track game again.... it'd be game, set, match.

When people actually know what a machines capable, it's much more enticing and Demons aren't commonly driven or in public as it's primarily a collectors car. For what it's worth, the 3 listed cars are all 11sec cars that yes are slower than the Z06 likely will be.
