Thanks Staszek. Did grills in a few hours and rest took a couple hours. Im just marking up a few photos to show the easy way to take apart grills to easily wrap cars ourselves. A lot easier than most think.

REMOVING AND SEPARATING GRILLS
See photos below

I will number steps according to order of the photos.

1- Simply place a flat head screw driver in the three circled holes and press gently. Not too much as you dont want to break the clips. Work your war around the grill and pull gently and it will slide forward. Driver and passenger side come out the same way.
****NIGHT DRIVE CAMERA****
Of your car is equipped with night vision camera, please understand that its mounted in the drivers side grill. This grill is much more difficult to get out as the camera housing is slightly larger than the opening due to motorized grill vents.
**option 1, you will have to pull harder on this one, thought i was going to break something but then it just popped out nicely. This is how i got mine out.
**option2, let motor run until vents on front grill open up, leaving more room for grill to slide out. I reinstalled my grill using option 2 after it gave me trouble to reinstall way #1

2- ****This ONLY APPLIES to cars with night vision camera.
I recommend not to trouble the camera or lines attached. Up to you if you want to remove but so you know, the chrome bezel is removable which i will explain in the following steps. Improper disconnection could result in needing to recalibrate the camera.

3 & 4- there are a few locking tabs which pop out very easily with a SMALL flathead screw driver or pointy tool. Again, be gentle to not break these clips.

5 & 6- these are hinge clips. They were the tightest ones to get out but they eventually gave in.

7 & 8- These were actually the first tabs i popped out bus as i was working on other tabs, some of them popped back in so i put in as the last step.

9,10 & 11- VOILA. Grill is separated and ready to be wrapped. You can wrap either just the chrome piece or wrap the the inner slats too. I went with the 2 tone grill. Just my preference. Dont want it overly done.

How easy was the back strip (and small pieces in the lights)? My grill is already black, but I've considered a gloss black for the back trim to match. Singapore Grey car color.

Front side Markers were really easy to do.

1- Cleaned the surface

2- Applied piece over sidemarker

3- Heat up with Hair dryer or heat gun

4- line out edges of sidemarker

5- Carefully cut out with small Xacto knife or blade.

6- Just "APPRECIATE" its beauty

Working on photos for easy step-by-step diy for wrapping front grill. Total spent on blacking out my whole car $40 w/tx and some of my time.

Did you not remove the back strip? Just applied the wrap with it on the car and then razored it? Just curious how easily the edges would start to peel?

The chrome on the TailLight's is mounted most like with a 2 way tape. I would not be in the mood to clean off the tape nor try to re-centre the piece after. I wrapped all the pieces on the car. Fortunately for my i have quite some experience with modifying cars so ive done many different type of interior mods and customizing.

Wrapping the chrome strip was extremely easy. The surface must be properly cleaned with a degreaser before starting. (Dish soap works fine)

With the right amount of heat, glue will activate properly and stick to the cleaned surface. Trimmed the edges after properly stretching the material.

Ill post the DIY later on. Need to mark up photos.

Do you think the back pieces are gonna last since you didn’t take them off? I had a shop here in KY tell me they wouldn’t do it because it would just come off after a few car washes.

Only reason vinyl wrap would come off is if pieces are not cleaned with a degreaser and must heat up vinyl hot enough to activate the glue.

Sounds good, I’ll probably be doing this in the next few days.

Any tips? I looked today and saw the glue you mentioned before definitely didn’t want to mess with prying that off and putting it back on.

3M wrap, good material. Stretches very nice

I would start with the smaller pieces on the tail lights first. PLEASE MAKE SURE TAIL LIGHT AND CHROME STRIP ARE SUPER CLEAN. Very important to have surfaces perfectly clean. Sometimes you need to peel back some of the vinyl to reapply, and if it picks up dirt, good luck getting it to stick again. If surfaces clean, you can peel back 5-10 times without ruining glue.

Dont work with a piece of vinyl thats way oversized. Easier to work with and minimal wasteage if you have to redo a piece.
Use HEAT-GUN for best results.
Work in a dust free environment. Youll see every piece of dust push a spot in the vinyl. Wet the area around where your working to prevent dust from kicking up under the vinyl while you work.
If its your first time, you can mist water on the surfaces and it allows for peeling back easier if you make a mistake, just make sure to apply vinyl from one side to the other to minimize air/water bubbles under material.
Once your done, you may notice a few bubbles under the wrap, work the air/water bubble into a small area then poke it with xacto knife, and work air/water out the little hole. 3M vinyl is self healing, so after you work out air pockets, apply some heat and massage piece and voila. Perfecto.

I redid my piece in Carbon. What u think?

In one of the photos you can see how easily i did the sidemarkers. Once i started to apply heat, the edged of the sidemarker stand out. Massage the edges and then carefully cut it out with exacto knife. By fluke, when i was massaging the edges with my nail, it ended making a perfect cut in the vinyl and i just used my finger to cut it out. Was kind of funny. No risk of scratching paint. 🙈
