New Jetta GLI Ad Promoting MT As a Security Feature

This is quite funny, at least to those of us here in US/CAN.

"For Self-Driving People" indeed!

That is awesome. I've long stated that having an MT in the car is the modern day theft deterrent. I've also noted that it typically caused a driver to be more focused on driving as well as inhibits the ability to do other things that can cause distractions.

VW has a long history of pretty good commercials. Glad to see the trend continues.

NY Times had a nice article not too long ago:

"Forget Self-Driving Cars. Bring Back the Stick Shift."

My buddy recently shipped his 911 from California to Florida. The truck driver who came to pick it up could not drive stick, so my buddy had to drive it onto the transporter and then take it off himself when it was delivered. Really sad!

I take my 993 to a car wash that does interior and exterior.....one of the staff gets in the car as it goes through and they do the dash and windows etc...when it spits out the other side I have to pull the car out because none of them can drive stick...what the hell.

Your first mistake was letting car wash staff touch the interior of your car...
