Just the latest disgrace by the current federal government in Canada:
- it's incredibly difficult to legally get a handgun license in Canada to begin with - probably the most vetted people
- It's low-hanging 'omg handguns are scary - gangs use handguns downtown' opportunistic capitalizing without actually doing anything about the real issues (immigration, illegal smuggled guns, gangs, justice system being soft on crime, etc)

While there have been a couple of cases of guns being stolen, I do not see this new overreach in fixing any of the inherent issues or making the streets safer.

For those who would like to curtail or eliminate the second amendment, what are you offering in return? I’m not prepared to give up anything without appropriate compensation.

Do you have another right to insert into the bill of rights which will still (or better) provide a check on government?

How about improving the right to privacy (government and corporate data mining/holding)?

How about strengthening property rights: no trespassing and no search?

Throw out something, don’t just try to take away our rights.

speaking of AR9s... im in the market for a new lower. Reinforced poly lower couldnt stand up to the abuse i gave it.

Edit: just called a local shop. they want $350 for their ar9 lower or $700 for a lower/upper combo. wtf

Bought a black SCAR 17 for maybe the best price I’ve ever seen. If things get weird like after Sandy Hook, the .308 SCARs could reach $6k again. Hope it doesn’t come to that, but figured I’d better get one now and lucked into one super cheap (relatively speaking of course). Should have on Friday, will post pics.

Buy an AERO lower (…the blems are under $100 most of the time), have it shipped to your local FFL and viola!!!!
