Looks great to me, we knew the grill was going to be similar to the X M as well as the headlights lower down with the new 'reinterpreted' daytime running lights being the upper changing crystal lights...

The headlights look to be dual beams on each side...(first screenshot)

The seats share similar style to the iX but also potentially the X M as well with fabric lower pockets and the 'cut out' section in metal up near the neck area. (last screenshot)

The rear seems to have a spoiler option and the area where the exhaust would be shows bold 'highlight' lines as we can see below. The rear lights are also strong wraparound concepts (same as the X M or similar at least)...(middle screenshots)

I love the way the latest pics seem to suggest the ambient lighting will be much wider and multi-faceted through the use of plastic/crystal areas on the side and front dash area (from the teaser clips today) so may produce similar effects to the X M roof geometric shapes...which would be stunning. I may be wildly wrong but that is what I see...Also, from the earlier wind tunnel videos on YouTube (where the screenshots were grabbed from) the seat 'save' buttons and heating / cooling look to be haptic ones just below the door seat adjustments (but much higher than the window buttons)...

Love it, need to see it in person though, looking forward to the 20th April. Take my money...

Reminds of the Hyundai palisade. Why do they have to go with the squinty and split headlights?

"The BMW Theatre Screen, which moves out of the roof liner, is an ultra-wide screen with a 31 inch screen, 32 : 9 panoramic display format and 8K streaming resolution"

This is going to be interesting. My kids would never leave the car.

The screen does seem cool, although curious as to how it will impact the moonroof, how much content is supported with the wide ratio, and whether it will be awkward having that wide of a screen so close. Definitely something interesting to test out, although most kids these days are probably just glued to their ipad instead

In fact this may be my signal that it's time to retire from selling what used to be BMWs.

But, to be clear, this is not intended to appeal to me. I'm not a buyer for a $100,000 sedan, and I'm not Chinese, Russian, or Saudi by heritage. Should translate fairly easily to a new Rolls-Royce series, if that's any consolation. It's almost as if BMW is intentionally killing off what's left of their sedan sales in favor of SUVs. Maybe a good oil crisis can reverse that, once again?
This was funny to read

I does seem like it's going to be rather close from a viewing perspective.

Not a fan but the grilles aren't as bad as I expected. However the loss of BMW's iconic angel eyes is saddening.

Is it just me or does it seem that BMW replaces existing features/designs with ones of lower cost and quality regardless of chip shortage. These slither line headlights over a normal size even though I bet the tech is advanced it's still smaller size hardware,no fog lights on new X3/X4, no touch screen on X5, downgraded shift lever in new models and etc. It really is disappointing the direction BMW is going. They kept the non digital clusters for so long because it's their heritage and roots yet they just randomly took away their iconic bmw angel eye headlight design. I can't figure them out lol

We do not know the details of the lights yet, but I doubt they are cheap. To the contrary I would bet money they are pretty advance. I have 2021 BMW and the quality has been solid. Fit and finish has been excellent.

Looks like it'll blow away the competition. Can't wait to see it in person.

Do like those fender flares and that sharp body line though. Lots of E-chassis inspiration (hopefully).

It's sad because any BMW that's a E chasis series at night you can easily point out its a BMW, But they have lost their ways. They are following the other manufacturers which is something they never did before, the Genesis, Nissan and some others been started the Split Headlight. Just don't see it working out for a BMW. But that's me to each it's own.

They are making it look like a Rolls Royce, thinking it might work making 7 series the ultra luxury saloon hopefully this will beat Merc S class……. I don't think so.

If I were in the market for a 7 (I'm a 5 series fan personally) it would be the e38 for me!

What do you mean not proportional? So there needs to be some fixed proportion between car's body parts? Who decided on that?
