Telling comment at the end is how will the car look once the camo is pealed away with concerns based on how the XM concept looked😂 70% of the 7 series is exported with China being the largest market—not surprised considering how BMW's latest design styling has been influenced by Kia & Hyundai.

Now will people stop saying BMW is behind? Tesla offers no hands free option.

It's much cheaper to have a driver in Asia, so most likely anyone with a big body lux car there is being driven.

I'm actually pretty excited to see what the final product looks like. I'm getting a lot of Rolls Royce vibes. I'm not looking for sport sedan feeling but it will still likely feel better to drive than the S Class and A8 like the last generation - at least to me.
Bring on the reveal! |

Another lost design opportunity by bmw. Why you need that damn long bonnet in an electric car?? Side profile looks like a longer version of my dad's 1978 bmw 520. Not an eye catching design.
Im a BMW guy but I can not get over the poor design of bmw electric cars compare to Porsche, Audi and even Tesla. |

Very excited to see more about this, mostly to know what will trickle into the LCI X7. C&D says it’ll drive itself on the highway up to 85 mph now, and not just in certain traffic situations. That sounds pretty handy. Just need a ‘Comfort Plus’ mode and real massage seats now and we’ll be set

I'm excited to see what BMW has in store. This is a critical moment as the new S-class is excellent and there is so much competition from the Model S as well. New players like Lucid too.
I think the G11 was a very underwhelming effort so they need to bring their A game this time around.

But anyhow, I do think all BMW's sedans look chunky and bloated AF for no good reason. Even a basic 330 is so massive with such a high hood. The last 7er in my opinion to have a truly sleek, low, and wide stance was the E65 (which looked really great after the LCI).

Bmw problem is, unlike Porsche (and obviously Tesla) uses the same body for ICE and electric cars. Not having an ICE in front gives lots of design opportunities (look at BMWs own i8). |

Unless I'm mistaken though, I thought the EV and ICE 7-series ride on a shared platform? Just like the 4-series GC and i4.

I m driving the current 7series( not long wheelbase though ), and it's just alright for day to day driving, however, the new sizes, gets us to a different limo type which spares someone like me.
Its more a chauffeur car not as what he said, driver's car, in my opinion. I already ordered IX ( I never thought I could move to an SUV ), but plush ride in IX50, for sure, is not that short of 7series. The new look of 7 Series, doesn't look appealing to me at the moment, but I m excited to see what it would look finally! |

So sounds like this is going to be a big car. I thought the existing 7 was already big here in Europe.
As always my verdict will be when I see one in the metal. Still don't get the flat bottom steering wheel , makes no sense whatsoever (design over function) I thought in terms of autonomy it might be level 3, maybe it pretty much is , I think the difference between 2 and 3 is who is responsible effectively, the car or the driver Anyone know if there is a Frankfurt or Paris car show this year , if so wonder if it will be released there? |

Anyone else notice that BMW's front and rear overhangs keep getting longer and longer? Something I already noticed on my G80.

Only if it was designed to maximize both platforms in parallel to take advantage. Consider the i4 is basically a 4-series GC without any real additional cargo volume.

Lol, he prefers the camouflaged car to the final one. Without even seeing the final revealed car. How negative ppl has become...
As long as BMW is breaking molds, I'm happy. And so, too, are hundreds of thousands of people around the globe. |
