I looked into this and there's info in the site news sub-section. It's more than people appreciating your posts. It also has to do with how non-dickish you are on the forum, to some degree. I went from 0-17-26 in over the weekend and no one appreciated any of my posts.

I also think it's not fully operational yet.. kind of like the death star in Return of the Jedi.

If you click on the number, it will show you all the posts of yours that people liked. If you then go to each of those posts, it will lower the number as you visit each of those liked posts, eventually back to 0 if you click on all of your liked posts.

Clicking it doesn't do anything for me. By the way, mine went from 0 to 52 over the weekend.

I got a notification of me earning one reputation point. That alone says clearly this system us fucked up.

We already know who are the core no life population of this place by looking at the post count and we know who are the idiots who don't stay in topic. It's dump to make this a popularity contest because we all know each other by now and we are not a cool crowd.
