7 series M-sport photos from Frankfurt IAA
The 7 series M-sport was recently introduced at the Frankfurt IAA. This is the first time it has been shown to the public.
It's the 740d, with biturbo 3.0L diesel outputting 306hp. Photos by http://www.bimmertoday.de/2009/09/15...-m-sportpaket/ and http://www.bmwblog.com/2009/09/17/fr...sport-package/ |

The M sport pack looks ok. I find the large chrome parts a bit irritating and somewhat out of place! I wish they wouldn't have done that. Also the long range cruise control radar dome is too much 'in your face'. It would have looked nicer I think if they would have recessed that a little instead of mounting it 'on top' of the mesh. The M Sport pack also deletes fog lights!

Looks pretty good, but I'm not a fan of the excessive use of chrome.

Maybe it's my laptop screen, it looked like a brighter blue to me. I just hooked it up to me desktop screen and it looks quite different on the larger screen. Sorry about that.

That active cruise control camera on the front bumper is HORRIBLE!! Totally distracting from the design and looks poorly executed. Ditto for the cars with the camera in the grille. Mercedes has found ways to have Night Vision and Active Cruise without putting a giant wart on the front of the car, I'm confused why BMW couldn't figure something out that's more discreet.

I find the night vision camera to be fairly well integrated into the grill. I actually like (prefer) the look of the 9 slat grill over the (non night vision) 13 slat grill, but that's definitely a personal preference thing

You better get used to it though, plenty more of that to come from BMW on future models of the other series.

get rid of that chrome and youve got the sexiest, sport, luxury ride ever! the color is lovely but those wheels suck! sidebar- so do the x6m wheels.... BMW usually makes the best sport wheels ever.
