G12 has already gone through an LCI, that's when we got the huge grille and iDrive 7.

Whatever it is...it's gotta be a hybrid (or some alternative fuel or electric) since it has a big ol' access flap on the front left fender.

It might be a fully electric version with a battery pack underneath the passenger cell, hence the black side skirts. Wouldn't be surprised if BMW was testing such a configuration considering the competition.

Shouldn't a redesign be coming in the 2022 calendar year? Usually by now you hear something. I'm imagining a redesign could be delayed into 2023 as a 2023 1/2 or 2024 model. With the slowing sales of sedans and expensive LCI, I can see this happening, but not if the new S-Class pushes BMW to move ASAP.

They better do it right, as will never give consideration to the LCI G12 and rushed in the switch to a pre-LCI '19 750i last February for that very reason.

It's for sure not the next 7 starting in 2022.

No one knows what this test car is, unless you work for BMW.

I think it could be a small adjustment of the actual 7 LCI or just one to test future technologies.
