Things to look for...used 2016 7-series
Big turn potentially....currently I a 435i Convertible and really, actually have enjoyed the heck out of it for 3 yrs now.
Was eyeballing the new Z4 hard over the past few months and was getting close to that as my DD. Wife got into a lease though about a year ago and it's looking like she's going to blitz thru the mileage. So yeah, we could pay for it...or I could pick up a 7-series (would be first one for me) and haul kids in it for the next 3-4 years. So plenty of "clean", CPO'd units out there...from nearly fully loaded to fairly light on options, etc. Any big items I should look/listen for when test driving...pre-purchase? Assume it's fairly safe w/ a 2016 CPO'd unit but thought I'd ping you folks. |

Update. Test drove the beast today. Very well equipped with Driver Plus, Driver Plus 2, Executive 2, Luxury Rear Seating Pkg, Bowers/Wilkins, Panoramic Sky Lounge and Ambient Air.
Only went for a ~12 mile run but it drove fantastic and this is a color combo I really like. Problem is...I could drive this 435i Convert another 2 years easily and not be bored. Could also see driving this 7 Series for the next 2-5 years. Can get CarPlay installed for a dime (not literally but close)....and that’s huge cause I’m a Waze junkie. At CPO, the dealer did a lot: new battery, wipers, tires, seat repair, etc. I know the dealer and the service manager. They are serious about BMW quality and standards. I’d move from no warranty to 2yrs with unlimited miles. I’m trying to talk myself in to this...sounds like. No thoughts? |

How do you like to drive? Because as you know they are completely different cars.
The 7 is an amazing car, its fast, the tech is awesome, and its super comfortable. That being said it can be a bit boring and not as engaging to drive. I almost bought a B6 instead, if I only had one car I would have went with the B6 instead for the much better handling and engaging drive, but my M3 takes care of that, and I got a great deal on the 750. What kind of car does your wife drive? The 7 is an awesome daily but the 435 is more fun.

It is the ultimate sleeper - sport mode is a beast, comfort mode is comfy. I like the dual personality. Super large in the back. Kids will love the entertainment options while you cruise super fast. This is the best vehicle I have owned - 2016 750i MSport

It’s done...pick her up on Monday. Got an extra year on the CPO for waiting a couple weeks and a price drop. Looking forward to it!
